Brigg Heritage Centre, first and foremost, is a charitable organisation showcasing the wonderful and diverse history of Brigg, the surrounding villages and the Ancholme Valley – championing local heritage education and respect for our environment.
We are home to the ‘Brigg Raft’ which dates back to 800BC, first discovered in Brigg in the 1880s and excavated in the 1970s. Our permanent collection spans time from The Bronze Age to The 20th Century, supported by a programme of temporary exhibitions and events.
Did you know? We also offer a versatile range of rooms for hire with a multiple opportunity of uses. Situated in the heart of Brigg centre, with ample carparking facilities (to the rear of the Angel Building - fees apply).

'Heritage Spaces' Our Rooms...
The following facilities are located within Brigg Heritage Centre:
(F08) The Ancholme (maximum capacity 25)
Situated on the 1st Floor of the Angel Building within the Brigg Heritage Centre. Flexible space for meetings, workshops and organised social groups. The Churchill Room (F11) is our dedicated temporary exhibition space - this can be rented (during core hours) subject to displays in situ (as an overspill) which will be let at the same rate as the Ancholme Room (by special arrangement only). Please liaise with BHC Manager for any (F11) Churchill Room related enquiries.
The following facilities are located within The Angel Suite:
(G20) The Ballroom (maximum current capacity 60)
An elegantly proportioned large space. Licensed for weddings and civil ceremonies, The Ballroom is a fantastic venue for larger groups / classes, special occasion celebrations and events (licenses may apply to certain events - the renter is responsible to apply for the appropriate licence. Leading off (G20) The Ballroom is the adjoining (G18) Kitchen - which is included in any rental of (G20) The Ballroom. There is a large format screen and PA system and also includes a four-seater chill-out zone to the rear of the space!
(B10) Training Kitchen
A well appointed kitchen area can be leased for culinary courses, and let as an additional food prep area for larger events in (G20) The Ballroom.
(B09) Multi-use Space (comfortable capacity 20-25)
This is a fantastic space for medium sized groups. The room is well equipped with tables, chairs, sofa area and a large screen.
(B07) Small Space Meet (comfortable capacity 8)
This is a small meeting room equipped with table and chairs and a large screen. Perfect for a small meeting.
Facilities...
All our rooms are fully accessible to disabled clients. Booking groups will have access to kitchen facilities (refreshments not included) and W.C.

Room Hire Rates... updated 28/4/26
COMMUNITY RATE is available for Charitable and 'not-for-profit' Groups/Organisations ONLY!
If your booking is eligible - BHC can offer (G20) The Ballroom at:
£15.00 per hour (core hours: Half Day £55.00 | Full Day: £110.00)
A Minimum Hire Charge of 1 Hour is applicable to ALL Rooms. Rentals are charged in full hour blocks.
For bookings our core hours are: 9:00 - 17:00 Monday to Friday | 9:00 - 13:00 Saturdays.
Any bookings held within Brigg Heritage Centre facilities must coincide with our current 'operational administrative hours'
or 'heritage centre opening times'. Please speak with Brigg Heritage Centre Manager on a case-by-case basis for diary-lead availabilities.
Bookings within The Angel Suite facilities are lest restrictive, as there is a designated entrance - which is accessible from the Angel Carpark area.
* Please note: Any booking which includes non-core hours will be subject to an additional 'Out of Hours' supplement fee of £10.00 per scheduled room hire.
