  • Saturday: 10.00 - 14:00 (current close time on Saturday)

At a glance...
 

  • We are home to the ‘Brigg Raft’ dating back to 800BC, which is our star attraction (located in Gallery 1) and forms part of our permanent collection!

 

  • The Heritage Centre is accessible for disabled and less agile visitors. 

 

  • Our gallery guides for the permanent collection displays are 'Large Print'.
     

  • Our enthusiastic volunteers, affectionately known as the 'Heritage Angels' are here to welcome you and introduce what Brigg Heritage Centre has to offer. The Heritage Angels are on-hand to answer any queries you may have.

  • In addition to our permanent collection (Galleries 1& 2) , we have Crafts for Children (our Farmers' Market Children's Craft Workshops are very popular), Heritage Workshops, Children's Activity stations in our galleries, POP-UP Exhibitions, Meeting Room lets / Licensed for Wedding / Civil Ceremonies (Buttercross), plus we have resources with a 'raft' of local information and reference books.

    ... Our visitors are often surprised at how much there is to see and do!

  • Please sign our Visitor Book… If you have enjoyed your visit - we would welcome your comments in our Visitor Book (located in the reception area). We really value your entries as these assist us to with fundraising grant applications.
     

  • Please support our 'Little Shop'… If you are looking for something 'a little bit different' our little shop brings to Brigg 'Specially Selected' products from around Lincolnshire!
     

  • We have a donation box... All donations, however large or small are greatly appreciated! Your donations contribute to keeping the Brigg Heritage Centre alive for the people of the community!
     

  • Why don't you... Round off your trip to the Brigg Heritage Centre nicely, by supporting Brigg's fantastic array local businesses... enjoy a coffee or a light lunch at one of the nearby cafés or do a spot of shopping in Brigg’s popular independent shops.

Brigg Heritage Centre is run by a charity, The Ancholme Valley Heritage Trust Ltd (Charity No: 1157731)We rely on donations, sales from our little shop, events, room rentals and fundraising to keep our doors open for our community.
